About Me:
I am passionate about the natural world and love everything it has to offer, from orchids to lizards from moths to pangolins. I am very fortunate to work at the Natural History Museum London whilst also studying tropical insects.

My Work:
As an Invertebrate Research assistant on the DToL project, I spend a lot of my time looking at insects and other invertebrates (marine and terrestrial). This includes collecting specimens in the field and assisting in their identification, preservation and preparation for DNA barcoding and whole genome sequencing.

How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
Curious, Bug Fan
What or who inspired you to follow your career?
Steve Irwin, the crocodile hunter. His documentaries inspired in me a love of nature and the want to try and help preserve wildlife.
What was your favourite subject at school?
Geography
What did you want to be after you left school?
A Conservationist
Were you ever in trouble at school?
Once, for forgetting to bring a work book.
If you weren't doing this job, what would you choose instead?
I think I would like to have done Paleontology or Egyptology if I were not doing this.

Meatloaf
What's your favourite food?
Any pasta dish
What is the most fun thing you've done?
I travelled along the Nile river using different modes of transportation.
If you had 3 wishes for yourself what would they be? - be honest!
1.To speak/comprehend any language 2. To have the powers of a genie 3. if the genie is nice, wish for their freedom.
