I am Director of the Earlham Institute, where we develop new laboratory and computational methods understand the living world by analysing genomes. I have four children and two cats.
I live and work near Norwich in the UK. When not at work I love running and cycling to keep healthy and cooking to relax. I am a big fan on 90s Indi music and a bigger fan of Liverpool Football club.
I grew up in Nottingham and was dyslexic as a child so really struggled at School. I became fascinated by genetics as it provided understandable rules for how nature works and how living things evolve.
